How to Apply

Before you apply

Ready to apply to NMSU? The process is quick and convenient with our online application.

The application will require you to provide the following:

Enrollment information

  • Semester when you plan to start
  • Campus where you plan to enroll
  • Degree expected

Personal information

Secondary contact information

  • Contact information for at least one parent, guardian, or spouse (if applicable)

Academic information

  • High school graduation date
  • Colleges or universities attended

Testing data

  • ACT or SAT information

Completing your application

Log in to the undergraduate application using the email and password you previously set up, or create a new undergraduate application account.

You can save your application at any time and return to it later. You can also revise your application before submitting it.

Allow approximately 45 minutes to complete your application.

Application fees

NMSU-Las Cruces

We waive the application fee for new, domestic, undergraduate applicants from July 1 to December 1 each year. For the remainder of the year, the NMSU-Las Cruces campus application fee is $25 and nonrefundable.

NMSU Global Campus

The application fee is waived for NMSU Global Campus.

Payment options

Pay online with a credit card after you finalize and submit your application for admission.

After you have applied

Have your official ACT or SAT test scores sent to NMSU:

Have your high school counselor or registrar send your most recent official transcript to:
